My other thread was closed before I was able to ask this question. This is about the unaccpetable name, upon login in after the suspension will you have to buy a name change from the store to change your characters name or will ANET make you change your characters name upon loggin in?

A.net makes you change the name. (for free) Heck, you couldn't buy name changes before. I mean... really, this is pretty logically if you just think about it.

They're dicks if they make you do that, iirc, the next time you try to log in, it'll say "Haha, your name sucks. Make a new one, or else:"

and it'll change your name that way.

Could you imagine the public outcry if they forced people to BUY new names when they decide a name is offensive?

By 'public', I do mean 'whiny forum bitches'... and by 'outcry', I do mean 'massive QQ threads' of doom and destruction.

Throw in some outlandish conspiracy theories and it could be quite entertaining... I really hope they start doing this.

Of course, one might point out that if they were going to ban names and charge us more money to get our characters back, they probably have a responsibility to do a better job screening names at the character creation stage... but that's just crazy talk.
